When I first started drawing women they didn’t exactly look like women. They kinda looked like they had taken too many steroids. It was awful. I did a little research and discovered there are a few things an artist can do to make their character more feminine. Follow these few simple steps and your female characters will look more like women.
I just realized I did a bunch of tutorials about drawing the face but never made one on hair! Imagine that? How could I forget? This is my latest YouTube tutorial about that very subject, to make up for lost time. I use a worksheet that I made for this video which you can download and practice drawing hair on your own. When you get more confidence, you can use the worksheets less and less. Good luck!
Okay, the last two coloring pages have been men – Colossus and Ice Man. So let’s draw a female lead character this time. I had a blast drawing Iceman and will probably use him for a shading tutorial for Friday! In the meantime, I redid a commission I drew during one of my comic conventions. I can’t remember who asked for Captain Marvel but I think I drew this when the movie came out. The first draft was okay but I felt I could do better with the pose and the proportions. Enjoy!
I have soooo many coloring pages but I haven’t done a tutorial on coloring. Here it is! In this video I demonstrate how to create a metallic texture for Colossus. Enjoy!
