New Coloring Page – Pennywise!

I just got back from the Tucson Comic Con which I attended over the weekend. THANK YOU to everyone who commissioned an artwork or bought a print! I truly appreciate it. I noticed in my originals that Pennywise was especially popular. I barely finished drawing him and someone bought it right away. Who would have thought that a homicidal clown that eats children would be so popular, but he is?

I must confess that It: Chapter One was one of the better adaptations of Stephen King’s novel. I still have to go see Chapter Two! I will definitely have to go see it before it leaves the theaters. Until then, here he is in all his spooky glory- Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

Of course, if you have any ideas for a coloring page please don’t hesitate to let me know with an e-mail or in the comments. Enjoy!

New Coloring Page – Super Girl!

This year at the Tucson Comic Con I have two new female character prints: Rey and Harley Quinn. For some reason, the ladies never sell as well as the male comic book characters. Maybe because there aren’t as many female characters as the men or maybe because they don’t get as much play time? I don’t know. Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn are always popular but the others not so much. Regardless, here is an old Super Girl I dug out of the archives. Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

Working on a New Rey

Star Wars is by far the better franchise between Star Wars and Star Trek BUT they did make episodes 1, 2, and 3 which are not the greatest and should be burned! Luckily, Disney made The Force Awakens which was considerably better than the first three combined. I’m old school so I like episodes 4, 5, and 6 which were the originals. The technology in those early movies is so outdated! I still love A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back (the BEST in the series) and Return of the Jedi even with all that outdated tech. This year we get the last of the movies that hand over the mantle to the new actors of the franchise and say goodbye to Princess Leia officially.

For the Tucson Comic con I’m working on a new print of Rey. Here is what I have so far. I like the pose and the facial features. I’m moving away from drawing the pure comic character and trying to make the image resemble the actress. I think I may ink this one and make it a coloring page as well as a new print.

New Thanos Coloring Page!

I got a request from a friend in Indiana asking me to draw Thanos. I did the sketch and made a new coloring page from it. I liked that Thanos but I used the costume from the comic instead of the movie.

I decided to revisit my previous sketch and redo it. I was looking for a more dramatic pose and a more menacing face. I also chose the costume in the movie and threw out the old comic book costume. Here is the new Thanos!! I like this version better but I’ll keep both because everyone has different taste. You can find both in the coloring page section of my site. ENJOY!

New Coloring Page: Princess Leia

Instead of just drawing and inking my next coloring page, I decided to make a quick video about workflow. Check it out!

Here is what the finished coloring page looks like. I needed to add some female characters to my Star Wars coloring page collection. Enjoy!

Ideas for New Coloring Pages: Star Wars

Lately, I’ve been working on a series of videos for my YouTube channel but I also need to keep drawing! I noticed my Star Wars coloring page link on the site was a little low in characters. I only have a few of the biggies and I don’t, repeat, don’t have the three biggies Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia (may our wonderful princess Carrie Fisher rest in peace). So I made up a project for myself to fill that page a little more. Now I just need ideas!

I’m thinking about the most popular characters from episodes 4, 5, 6, and 7 The Force Awakens. Those seem to be the best movies so far, although my nephew recommends the animated series Attack of the Clones. I also understand there are characters in books and video games that people like too like Grand Admiral Thrawn.

I have my work cut out for me! Stay tuned for more releases.
