This is a little view of the booths, fans, art, toys, costumes, and collectibles available at Phoenix’s biggest con event! Enjoy.
It’s only 18 days away! I’m still working on my Armored Batman and Suicide Squad Harley Quinn. YES! They will be finished by the Phoenix Fan Fusion.
Look for Vanquish Studio in Artist Alley at booth 1014.
Looking forward to May! Why? Well, I am a teacher and the end of May signals summer vacation so that is exciting. More importantly though, May brings Vanquish Studio’s signature event: Phoenix Fan Fusion!
This year should be even bigger and better and we have three new prints to debut. We have decided to retire Harley Quinn. We have had that same Harley Quinn since the start of our showings in 2013. We need to update our selection. The Suicide Squad Harley is on the way. Another fan favorite that is going to be retired is Batman. I’ve loved that one but it is time that a new Dark Knight protect chibi-Gotham. Armored Batman will be the replacement which should be a lot of fun to draw. And finally, you already know that we sold out of our last Groot so we decided to make Baby Groot! He is just too cute not to do and I’ve already done the inks.
There you have it, three new prints for Phoenix Fan Fusion. Join Vanquish Studio’s journey towards the Fusion Zone has begun!
Tomorrow I’ll be going to Dev Fare! A FREE comic convention run by ASU students. I’m a WILDCAT through-and-through so it’s tough to go there. I really want to wear my Arizona gear but instead I have to bring some holy water and crucifixes (hahahaha). Just kidding!
Love and peace right? Just Bear Down when you’re doing it.
Don’t forget to say hi and suggest an idea for an original. Have a great time!

I’m a graduate of the University of Arizona so it’s really hard for me to show at ASU! Kidding. Actually, all rivalry aside, Dev Fare is a free event put on by students. Vanquish Studio went to Dev Con (at the time that’s what it was called) for the first time, I think, in 2015. It is a fun little, free, comic and gaming convention at ASU West.
If you live in the Phoenix metropolitan area and have free time GO CHECK IT OUT!
Vanquish Studio hasn’t done a lot of comic cons since 2015. 2019 is the year when I’m thinking of doing the Long Beach Comic Con, Palm Springs, Phoenix (goes without saying since it’s my own back yard), and Tucson. That is a total of four cons which, believe it or not, is a lot! Now, would I like to do more comic conventions, yes, but travelling is very difficult for me. Why? Well, I have a 9 to 5 that I need to worry about as well as other things. Regardless, I will be opening an Etsy shop soon to help people get my stuff when I can’t make it to their city. So stay tuned!!!
Comic conventions are a lot of fun to attend but they are also very tiring. There is literally so much to look at and see from the art to the toys to the costumes, that you can overdose on your senses! I’ve gone to the Tucson Comic con EVERY year. This year I premiered my reboot of Venom.
