New Coloring Page – Flash!

I just looked in my coloring page archive and realized I never made one of The Flash! This was one of my earliest drawings and was one of the original nine prints I had when I first started showing at comic conventions in 2012! It was my first show after a dismal failure at the Phoenix Con two years prior. I actually sold out of EVERY print except Green Lantern (go figure). Anyway, here is a blast from the past, my original Flash. I should probably do an updated version.

Enjoy!

FIRST Post in August!

Well, people, my day job IS being an art teacher and this has been the start of the school year so I’ve been really busy. So sorry about not having posted until now, although, since I have my new work schedule (goodbye summer) it’s time to get back to drawing. I highly recommend creating a drawing schedule for yourself. Let’s face it, if you don’t make the time for art you will never have the time for art.

and worse yet, you’ll start to complain that you never have time for art! DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN! Create a schedule. That being said, I’m still working on mine because I definitely need to add in some variables and it’s complicated. Anyway. . .

Here is a new Harley Quinn I’m working on and will hopefully have ready for the Tucson Comic Con  this year. I already have a new Armored Batman and Suicide Squad Harley ready and I also have the go ahead to make Thanos!

Online Store Coming Soon

I’m so excited that pretty soon I will have my online store up and running. When I show at comicons people always ask me if they can get my art online and I’ve always had to tell them no, which stinks. No mas! I’m opening an online store at the start of the new year. Lookout 2015!

New Stuff!

Since the Tucson Comicon I’ve retired a bunch of prints. Which means I better get to work on some new stuff! So far I’ve redone the Joker as a more traditional DC comic Joker and not the Heath Ledger version. I think people will like the more comic book style version. I have his hands behind his back to hint to fact the he’s up to something. It’s hard to make a devious character like the Joker in the cute chibi style but I think it works out. I’ve also redone the Hulk. My older version was very static, he didn’t move. I just had him standing there like a mug shot. This new version is much more dynamic and has a more chibi feel to it.

NEW ART!

Okay, so I’m working on Power Director to get videos on my blog. In the meantime, I’ve been working on new stuff for the upcoming Tucson and Long Beach Comicons. I redid Ironman, Spiderman, Thor, and Batman. The other versions of my art are now colelctable because I’m no longer offering them. I’ve seen a lot of artists do the same thing at cons year after year. I don’t want to fall into that kind of trap because I don’t think I would grow as an artist. So each year, granted this is my first year, I decided to challenge myself to reinvent a previous drawing. Here is the newly revamped Batman.
