New Coloring Page – The Green Goblin! Stay Safe and Away from Crowds (Don’t Spread, Color Instead)

Okay, so we are all stuck in this together and we need to support each other to get through it. Since I released two different Spider-Mans, I thought I would release one of the few villains I’ve ever made into a print. I sold this one a long time ago when I was just starting out showing at comic conventions. I really liked the pose of the Goblin on the Goblin Glider. AND I made him holding an exploding pumpkin! This print was a lot of fun to make. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did drawing it.

Maybe for coloring you could make a triptych with the two different Spider-Men flanking the Green Goblin? I dunno, be creative!

New Coloring Page – Aquaman!

I don’t know about you but I absolutely loved Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo in The Game of Thrones t.v. show. I was thrilled to find out he was chosen to play Aquaman in any and all upcoming movies starring the watery super hero. Regrettably, many people didn’t like (although I don’t know why cause I thought it ROCKED) Justice League when it came out a few years ago. Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Aquaman, a very funny Flash, and an awesomely-menacing-but-still-cool Cyborg all together on one screen and you’re going to bash it? Are you crazy?? It was a darn good movie!

Anyway, ignore all of those crazy, inaccurate reviews and take it from me, this is a really good movie. It’s very entertaining and Aquaman steals a scene where he accidentally sits on Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth – very funny!

I did this print a few years ago and never released the black and white as a coloring page. This one actually has a background on it because I started working on incorporating a story into the print. To make up for lost time, here it is! A chibi Jason Momoa as Aquaman.

New Coloring Page – Superman!

I already have a version of Superman available in my coloring pages but I thought I would add this one to the selection. Superman is such an icon that sometimes he is difficult to draw because  there is a certain expectation as to how he should look. I definitely had a lot of fun drawing his cape. Seriously? How many superheroes still have a cape? I kept his Clark Kent “All-American” male characteristics.

Enjoy drawing this other version of the Man of Steel.

New Coloring Page – Spider-Man!

Believe it or not, I have many different versions of the same character. I draw them several times before I come up with a version I feel comfortable with showing at a comic con. I have three versions of Thanos and, quite frankly, I liked the third one the best which is the one I chose to go to print.

What does all of this mean for you? More coloring pages! I never, NEVER, throw out my art that didn’t make it to print. Looking at and reflecting on an artwork we may not like or think we can do better with is how we grow as an artist. Besides the reflection on the art, I also get to make a download of all those drawings and give them to you!

Here is another version of Spidey but now he’s slinging that web! Enjoy!

New Coloring Page Coming Soon!

Okay, I don’t have Disney Plus streaming (yet) but I’m considering it because EVERYONE is talking about The Mandalorian. I don’t normally go for sci-fi but I am the generation that saw Star Wars for the first time in 1977 (yes, I’m that old). That being said, it left an impact on me. I was awe struck at the special effects. I understand George Lucas had to invent Industrial Light and Magic just to make some of the things he needed to tell the story. Impressive.

Now, fast forward a few decades and the Disney conglomerate has taken intellectual hold of George Lucas’ creation. Sometimes the result is fantastic like The Force Awakens and then sometimes you get Solo: A Star Wars Story (Although I wasn’t a big fan of Rogue One either). Of course, the special effects will be more stunning with computers and CGI and advances in make-up effects, costuming, set-design (the list goes on). Anyway, all the buzz is about baby Yoda. Apparently, there is a very young Yoda specie on the show and it is unclear where this little cutie originated. Check the Internet and there are theories all over cyberspace. Regardless, it is a very cute creature so, of course, that will be my next coloring page. STAY TUNED!

New Coloring Page – Super Girl!

This year at the Tucson Comic Con I have two new female character prints: Rey and Harley Quinn. For some reason, the ladies never sell as well as the male comic book characters. Maybe because there aren’t as many female characters as the men or maybe because they don’t get as much play time? I don’t know. Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn are always popular but the others not so much. Regardless, here is an old Super Girl I dug out of the archives. Enjoy and Happy Halloween!
