New Coloring Page – Yoshi

30 Days to Phoenix Fan Fusion

Countdown to Phoenix Fan Fusion! It’s only, yes, ONLY 30 days away! Holy moly. I need to draw a new armored Batman and Suicide Squad Harley Quinn. I have Baby Groot but I still need to color it. Sheesh! Time flies. The mission is on!

In the meantime, enjoy Yoshi. Truly, it wasn’t that hard to draw Yoshi because he is basically a chibi character already. I did have fun inking the different line weights. I’m still not sure if the red bump on Yoshi’s back is a shell or a saddle. I have no clue. I’ve seen Mario on Yoshi’s back so it looks like a saddle but the bump is convex instead of concave (like a real saddle) so it’s unclear. Confusing.

Added New Pages

Since I’m getting ready for Phoenix Fan Fusion in May, I seriously need to update my originals section for my booth this year. I’ve sold out of most of my originals, which is a pretty good problem to have, I’m not complaining! First on the list, some nostalgia.

My best friend wanted a tattoo of He-Man, which I did draw for him. He didn’t get the tattoo. So instead of sulking I decided to make a matching Skeletor. I think these two originals will definitely appeal to anyone who watched Saturday cartoons in the 80’s or after school cartoons (let’s not forget syndication) in the 80’s as well. We all know about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I may continue the series, who knows? I added new pages to the navigation of my website to account for all the new stuff coming.

Stay tuned! My gaming series is on it’s way.

New Coloring Page Series!

I’m writing the tutorial downloads for my videos but I still haven’t bought my new cord. That is forthcoming. I DO have a new series of coloring pages. This time it isn’t really a movie or comic book as much as a series inspired by video games. I used to play them religiously when I was much younger. Dare I say it, I’m from the Atari 2600 generation. Yes, that old! I witnessed the evolution of video games from Atari to Nintendo to Sega to PlayStation to Wii and beyond! It was fantastic and I’m grateful to have lived through that epic time in history.

On another tangent, I’m also making some more tutorials. Here is a preview video of what you can expect in the coming weeks.

STAR WARS Coloring Page – Boba Fett

When I first saw Return of the JediĀ I was upset that Boba Fett was killed off. Seriously? He is the best bounty hunter ever. Greedo? Cad Bane? Bossk? My favorite is Boba Fett.

In fact, I love this character so much, I decided to use him as the subject for my next inking video. I made a copy of this Boba Fett with basic inking and then I demonstrate how to use different line weight to change the look and mood. It should be good. I’m including a printable worksheet with it so stay tuned!

I’m working on a bunch of new videos and, of course, I’m getting the Guided Portfolio workbook ready. After the release of my Star Wars coloring pages, I’m getting back into the drawing tutorials.

In the meantime, May the Coloring Be With You!

STAR WARS Coloring Page – Kylo Ren

Okay, I must admit when I heard about The Force Awakens, I was jazzed. The ORIGINAL three actors had agreed to come back: Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker. I was really looking forward to that movie and it didn’t disappoint me. I thought it was pretty good.

I’m back to the dark side, well not really because Kylo Ren isn’t really a sith lord. I’m not exactly sure who the Knights of Ren are but I’m sure we will all find out. Especially now that Kylo has killed Supreme Leader Snoke and is now the head honcho.
