New Coloring Page – Black Widow! Stay Safe Indoors (Don’t Spread, Color Instead)

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus we are all working to stop the spread. If you are stuck indoors like I am (although I’m not complaining) you may want something to pass the time. I’m releasing a more-than-usual schedule of coloring pages this month to help with potential boredom. I have so many different versions that I’ve drawn over the years its amazing to see the progress as I re-release these oldies but goodies.

I’m so happy to see Scarlett Johansson back as Black Widow. When her character died in Avengers: Endgame to get the Soul Stone I was pretty upset. I don’t see too many strong female characters in the movies.

I created this print of Black Widow way back when the Age of Ultron movie came out, about five years ago. I’m contemplating redrawing this print for the new Black Widow movie. Let me know what you think?

New Art for Tucson Comic Con!

The Tucson Comic Con is only six days away! Luckily, I inked, flatted, and colored two new prints for this year’s con. I chose Rey because The Rise of Skywalker is going to be released this December. I can’t wait to see what happens next! I also did Thanos because he was such a good villain for the Avengers franchise. Let me know what you think and leave a comment.

Look for Vanquish Studio in Artist Alley, table AA15!

Another New Thanos Coloring Page!

Is it just me or is Thanos an awesome character? I was asked to make a Thanos coloring page but I just didn’t quite like it. Since then I’ve done a few more sketches. I’m drawing a few versions to see which ones are the most dynamic and capture the essence of the character (well as best you can in chibi style). Here is another Thanos coloring page!

New Thanos Coloring Pages Coming

In order to really get behind the hero in a comic book or movie, you have to have a really good villain. Thanos is the current MCU’s baddie. He took out half of all life in the universe, which is pretty awful if you ask me! Anyway, I’m designing a new art print for the Tucson Comic Con of Thanos. I want to have him wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, of course, but I also liked the double edged sword he uses in Endgame. Here is what I have so far:

New Coloring Pages

Okay, so I’ve been really busy getting ready for the Tucson Comic Con which is in two weeks. I need to fix my display and add more originals to my portfolio. In the meantime, I did make a few more coloring pages. Check ’em out!

New Tutorial on YouTube

So I’ve started a You Tube channel with art tutorials on it and my first video…creating a metallic texture with colored pencils. I chose Ironman because I already have an awesome chibi version of Ironman. I suppose I could have used my Dr. Doom for the tutorial but no one seems to like that character as much. Bummer. Anyway, if you want to see the video click the link Vanquish Studio.
I’ve added a picture of the way people usually color and the Vanquish way! Okay, that’s a little dramatic but you get the idea. I also added a download of the coloring page so if anyone is interested they can download it and color along. That’s on my download page. Enjoy!

Online Store is Open!

I’m very nervous but also excited about opening my new online store. Many people ask me about my prints and if they could buy them online but I’ve always said “I’m working on it”. It’s up and running right now! Of course not all prints in my gallery on this site are for sale in my store. Some prints have been retired already and aren’t available. Other prints are being redone for the new year so the 2014 version is on sale. Check it out!
