This is a little view of the booths, fans, art, toys, costumes, and collectibles available at Phoenix’s biggest con event! Enjoy.
Holy cow, I can hardly believe it but tomorrow Vanquish Studio sets up for our signature event: Phoenix Fan Fusion. We have been at EVERY Phoenix con since 2013. That’s 6 years running! This year we hope to have another great time with friends, family, fans, and everyone who supports us right here in our own back yard, PHOENIX! Hopefully this cooler weather prevails and it’s more enjoyable for those hard core cos players.
I got my new prints back from the printer and I think they look awesome! I use a local company here in the Tempe area – Competition Printing. If you have any printing needs, they are your company! Great service and a fantastic product. Here is a sneak peek at my new prints!
Looking forward to May! Why? Well, I am a teacher and the end of May signals summer vacation so that is exciting. More importantly though, May brings Vanquish Studio’s signature event: Phoenix Fan Fusion!
This year should be even bigger and better and we have three new prints to debut. We have decided to retire Harley Quinn. We have had that same Harley Quinn since the start of our showings in 2013. We need to update our selection. The Suicide Squad Harley is on the way. Another fan favorite that is going to be retired is Batman. I’ve loved that one but it is time that a new Dark Knight protect chibi-Gotham. Armored Batman will be the replacement which should be a lot of fun to draw. And finally, you already know that we sold out of our last Groot so we decided to make Baby Groot! He is just too cute not to do and I’ve already done the inks.
There you have it, three new prints for Phoenix Fan Fusion. Join Vanquish Studio’s journey towards the Fusion Zone has begun!
Check out the footage from the 2018 Phoenix Comic Fest!!! Vanquish Studio will be back in 2019 when they change the name to Phoenix Fan Fusion.
Vanquish Studio will be making yet another appearance at this year’s Phoenix Comic Fest. Find us in aisle 1000 in Artist Alley at booth 1012! Below is a sketch idea for Joker and Harley Quinn. I reworked it until I was happy with the finished product. Just showing how and idea starts. It’s very basic and goes through many incarnations before the final product. Although I did like this one from the start.
