New Coloring Page – Rey!

The Tucson Comic Con is right around the corner and I need to get going on my new Rey. Well I finished the inks which means a new coloring page for everyone! This one is going to be colored and made into a print for the con. Enjoy!

Working on a New Rey

Star Wars is by far the better franchise between Star Wars and Star Trek BUT they did make episodes 1, 2, and 3 which are not the greatest and should be burned! Luckily, Disney made The Force Awakens¬†which was considerably better than the first three combined. I’m old school so I like episodes 4, 5, and 6 which were the originals. The technology in those early movies is so outdated! I still love A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back (the BEST in the series) and Return of the Jedi even with all that outdated tech. This year we get the last of the movies that hand over the mantle to the new actors of the franchise and say goodbye to Princess Leia officially.

For the Tucson Comic con I’m working on a new print of Rey. Here is what I have so far. I like the pose and the facial features. I’m moving away from drawing the pure comic character and trying to make the image resemble the actress. I think I may ink this one and make it a coloring page as well as a new print.

STAR WARS Coloring Page – Boba Fett

When I first saw Return of the Jedi I was upset that Boba Fett was killed off. Seriously? He is the best bounty hunter ever. Greedo? Cad Bane? Bossk? My favorite is Boba Fett.

In fact, I love this character so much, I decided to use him as the subject for my next inking video. I made a copy of this Boba Fett with basic inking and then I demonstrate how to use different line weight to change the look and mood. It should be good. I’m including a printable worksheet with it so stay tuned!

I’m working on a bunch of new videos and, of course, I’m getting the Guided Portfolio workbook ready. After the release of my Star Wars coloring pages, I’m getting back into the drawing tutorials.

In the meantime, May the Coloring Be With You!

STAR WARS Coloring Page – Darth Vader

A few days ago I released Darth Maul who, I think, was a pretty awesome sith lord. The first, the best, the baddest, the sith lord to define all sith lord’s however, is Darth Vader! I think he was the best villain of the Star Wars franchise. I must qualify that statement and say that I liked episodes 4, 5, and 6. I think Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker could have been a little more powerful of a performance.

I must enjoy coloring on the dark side of the force because so far I’ve released two sith lords. Hmmm, maybe I need to find a Jedi master. Next, real

Until then, May the Coloring Be With You!

Do you have an idea for a Star Wars character to color? Greedo? Cad Bane? Han Solo? Princess Leia? BB8? Let me know by leaving a comment.

Darth Maul

Its very difficult to make a bad ass character in the cute “chibi” style but I think I got Darth Maul. What do you think? I even added his double-sided light saber! When i finally get around to coloring this bad boy it will look even better.

Star Wars Characters

Okay, so I’m working on some new stuff for the comicon and I have to have a few Star Wars characters (otherwise I’m a total idiot if I don’t include that in my resume). Anyway, I have to say that some of these characters are a royal pain-in-the-butt to draw. Darth Maul, for example, has some serious tattooing on his face! Boba Fett has a detailed costume that is a pain as well – sheesh! Well, I better stop complaining and start drawing.
